As a follow up to our report previously, a temporary injunction against Sony has been made in Europe ordering that all new PS3s have to be confiscated as they are imported into the UK and the rest of Europe for at least 10 days. Last week alone, tens of thousands PS3 consoles were seized by custom officers in Netherlands due to this legal dispute by LG.
LG argues that Sony is stealing their patented code in regards to the Blu-ray playback device in their products such as the PS3 console. Earlier this month, LG has filed a complaint to ITC (International Trade Centre) for the patent infringement.
Well, take that Sony!
